Where: Bumble Bee Foods, LLC 13100 Arctic Circle Santa Fe Springs

Originally known as the Columbia River Packers Association, Bumble Bee Foods was founded by 7 salmon canners from Astoria, Oregon, in 1899. Currently, Bumble Bee employs over 1,000 men and women and is an international company selling canned tuna and salmon throughout the world under the Bumble Bee Label and in Canada under the Clover Leaf brand name. The Santa Fe Springs canning facility is the last operating canning facility on mainland U.S. soil. Over the years Bumble Bee has transformed its plants from labor intensive production lines to automated lines making it the world's most efficient cannery. Bumble invites you to come and see how they manage canning 200 tons per day, (that equates to 10 - 40 foot containers) of tuna caught from all over the world and imported through the ports of Long Beach/Los Angeles.
This company focus will be hosted by Sheri Glazebrook, the VP General Manager of Bumble Bee Foods, who will give a presentation of the company, it's history, growth and import operations challenges. A tour of the facility will end with a very special hors d'oeuvres mixer, featuring Bumble Bees newest line of tuna
"Wild Selections" due out the first quarter of 2009. These spicy new additions include tuna with jalapeno, chipotle and sun dried tomato, all in olive oil.

Mandatory
C-TPAT Portal: Are You Ready?
Afternoon Seminar

Did you know that you may lose
all C-TPAT benefits on October 1, 2006?
The long anticipated procedure for annually
updating security profiles with U.S. Customs is here. U.S.
Customs is rolling out a new Security Link Portal for all C-TPAT
companies. This mandatory web portal will allow companies to
enroll and submit their C-TPAT applications. Current C-TPAT
certified companies will be re-uired to log on to the new
portal, create an account and update their supply chain security
profile. Beginning October 1, 2006, U.S. Customs will revoke
C-TPAT benefits for companies that have not updated their
information online. During this seminar, there will be a
demonstration of the portal. Attend this important seminar to
learn how to: use the C-TPAT portal, add your supply chain
security profile and update your company information. Also learn
