Doug also manages commercial diplomacy and advocacy tasks on behalf of US companies pursuing major market opportunities in Australia and is a founding member of the Defense and Security Working Group as well as the Food and Beverages Committee within the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham). He has also taken on an export liaison role in support of the US Embassy in Papua New Guinea.

Doug has previously undertaken a wide range of roles on behalf of Australian Government agencies including the Australian Trade Commission [Austrade]. He served overseas as Australian Trade Commissioner in Papua New Guinea and has organized and led numerous overseas trade missions, delegations and negotiations over many years.
